“If you travel to another country, you need a lot of things: accommodation, transport information, and help about the city. In this way this school is great because they helped me with everything. Thank you!"

“I am an expat living in Turkey because my husband was transferred here 3 years ago. As a housewife I needed to do all the shopping and other household business. I didn’t know any Turkish so I came to the EF Turkish Language Centre in Levent. Not only I have learned Turkish but I have met other expat “smart ladies” and we have become friends’’.

“Visiting Istanbul was a wonderful experience for me. I love the city with its mixture of history, modernity and traditions. The school and lessons were just great. I was putting into the practice everything I learnt at the lesson. The staff was very helpful. The teachers are excellent. I had an amazing holiday in Istanbul, visited many places and met new Turkish friends’’.
Hinrish Weigert, Germany
“It was very difficult to direct an office without understanding the local language. Even though my co-workers spoke English I felt I was working at a distance. My working schedule made it difficult to attend regular course programs at language schools so I tried 1-to-1 lessons with a private teacher. The results were disappointed to say the least. I tried to rearrange my schedule around a language school, but that didn’t work either. I was convinced that I was a hopeless case until I met with the staff at EF who prepared me the personal schedule’’.

“I am not a full time expat in Turkey. I only have a summer house down at Kalkan where I love to spend my vacation. I am also planning to settle down in Turkey when I retire. So far that reason I felt the need to learn Turkish. I joined EF. I can now express myself ‘reflexively! (Admittedly at a basic level) in Turkish and that strange barrier between intellectual knowledge of a language and practical ability has at least been partially breached I am not working in Turkey (or in Turkish!) but it has certainly improved my ability in communicating with merchants, builders and repairmen near my house in Antalya / Kalkan.
Yvon Joseph Gerard Leblanc – Part time expat

"What are the best things in EF? Beautiful and handsome teachers, interesting and useful courses, good quality facilities for students, wonderful social evenings, organized teaching lessons. The Canteen has the most delicious food in Levent. The staff is kind, patient and polite. They can deal with any problem a student has."
Macy Garcia, Great Britain
"On my first day at EF, I was quite nervous, because I didn't know anything about the students, teachers etc; contact is always very difficult at the beginning. But it was only for 10 minutes. The most important was the first lecture with Menekse. She was really friendly; everything was brilliant then. The atmosphere at EF is really great, especially during the lessons. The teachers are incredible! Ferda is a fantastic teacher."
Xiomara de Sevilla, Spain
"My business course is very good, for teaching quality and because the classes are very small. An interesting course. A serious school. This is my third time in Turkey, but this is the best school."
